Victim 2 Victor - Surviving Abuse and Overcoming Trauma

This podcast is to support victims of abuse. If you are stuck in your pain, unsure of how to even begin addressing all of the heartache and trauma of which you endured, I need you to know that healing is possible. I, and many former victims before you, have found the strength and hope to rise from the past and to create something magnificent for ourselves and for the people around us. The abuse I endured as a child and well into adolescence was obscene and I struggled for a long time to make peace with it, but I have made the decision to turn my pain into a powerful tool for others and myself. You can turn it around too. If you would like to learn or read more about me then please visit my website: https://victim2victor.net. You may also visit: https://linktr.ee/healing.journeyy

Each rape case that we’ve ever heard of makes us think for the victim “What an awful thing she went through” “She must be traumatised” and the discussion almost always revolves around the victim “Was she alone? What was she doing out late at night?"While it’s only human to feel empathetic towards the victim, what we miss is to comprehend the deep-rooted causes. Less often do we sit and think why a rapist rapes or what could’ve been so triggering for him that it led to such a monstrous act? What was going on in his mind? Is it possible that he was also abused? I will answer these questions in this podcast episode and we’l go into the mind of a rapist and what motivates them to commit such unlawful acts.If you would like to take your self development to the next level then please sign up to my FREE 12 week self discovery plan here: https://victim2victor.net/free-12-week-self-discovery-plan/More information about me can be found via links here: https://linktr.ee/healing.journeyyIf you are interested in my book 'Victim 2 Victor', it is now available on audio and can be found on:Audible: adbl.co/3akVNCu Amazon: amzn.to/37jFt2W

Do you have somebody in your life who is always moaning about something and they never seem to take responsibility for anything, including their own happiness? Do you know somebody who blames others for their own emotions and circumstances that they’re in?  When you wake up in the morning, is your mind racing?  Do you fret about what other people think of you? Do you feel anxious, no matter how hard you try, to stay calm? Feeling peaceful or having emotional well-being has nothing to do with what happens to us; it’s about learning the art of self-acceptance and mindfulness. As you grow a more mindful relationship with your emotions, you flex the muscles of emotional fitness. You’ll wonder why you waited so long to embrace your emotions. The more self-awareness you cultivate, the easier it is to self-calm. Whenever you feel and accept an emotion, the more you’ll experience inner peace. This meditation will help you to connect with your true self and your emotions, to cultivate inner peace. If you would like to take your self development to the next level then please sign up to my FREE 12 week self discovery plan here: https://victim2victor.net/free-12-week-self-discovery-plan/More information about me can be found via links here: https://linktr.ee/healing.journeyyIf you are interested in my book 'Victim 2 Victor', it is now available on audio and can be found on:Audible: adbl.co/3akVNCu Amazon: amzn.to/37jFt2W

You may have come across narcissists during your lifetime, you may have dated one already or you may be in a relationship with one right now. Narcissists are individuals with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) who tend to be self centred, manipulative, arrogant and selfish individuals who lack empathy.   In this podcast episode, I will discuss what types of people the narcissist is attracted to. I will give the different types and stages of NPD as well as my personal experiences, which I hope will give you a better understanding of what to look out for if you are or have been in a relationship with a narcissist.I never knew about this disorder until I was actually dating a man with severe NPD. The abuse that I suffered from this relationship resulted in post-traumatic stress disorder and I had lost my internal glow, my spirit as well as my hair. I became severely depressed and a woman whom nobody around me even recognised. This is a really difficult topic for me to talk about as it was one of the most difficult experiences I ever went through but it was the one experience from which I went from being a victim to a victor. I gained strength and learnt how to become resilient and empowered. For those who are trying to get out from a confusing, toxic and unhealthy relationship with a narcissist, please do get help. Tell somebody and physically remove yourself from the relationship. You will have a much healthier, happier and positive life.  Remember the first step towards healing is awareness. Something which many of us struggle with is forgiving others when they have hurt us. To not forgive has negative consequences for us and our overall health as it creates negative emotional and mental states which can cause physical illnesses and create disharmony in our energetic system. It affects how we live our life, the experiences we have (and don’t have) and the type of people we pull into our life.  We may end up bitter, resentful and negative about life and we often have an endless list of things which we are angry about or things that haven’t worked out or people who have done us wrong. Forgiveness comes after acceptance. You cannot reverse time, you cannot change things that have happened in the past, all you can do is accept that it did happen and see what you could learn from it.  Forgiveness & acceptance is an inner process, something you do inside of yourself and this meditation will help you and guide you during your own forgiveness and acceptance process.

Ever wondered what attracts an abuser to their victim ? What is the abusers motives to perform such malicious acts? In this podcast episode, I will explore the reasons behind why abusers abuse.Abuse is about power and coercion and always the fault of the perpetrator, but we know that sadly many of us blame ourselves. Abusive people believe they have the right to control others, often either because they believe their own feelings and needs should be the priority or because they enjoy exerting the power that such abuse gives them.  This ultimately leads to  the receiver of abuse feeling less valuable and undeserving of respect.Nobody ever deserves to be abused and you’re never responsible for abuse that you receive. You are here now because you are courageous and determined – and because you know you’re worth more.

Living in a Judgemental Society

Saturday Mar 06, 2021

Saturday Mar 06, 2021

We all know by now that no matter what we decide to do in our life, we are going to be judged and we are going to judge others.  Sometimes we do this with positive or non-harming intentions. Most of the time unfortunately, our judgment often comes from a negative place and with a darker intent. Though we judge for many reasons, we often do it when:·       We don’t know a person well (yet)·       We cannot identify with a person’s belief system, values, or behaviour·       That person somehow threatens how we perceive ourselvesIn this podcast episode, we will look into why we judge and how we can transform ourselves to live in a less judgemental society.

Have you been cheated on in the past and finding it impossible to get over the betrayal? Is your partner currently being unfaithful to you and you don't know what to do? Or you may even be the unfaithful partner yourself? Researchers have found that those who have been unfaithful in one relationship have three times the odds of being unfaithful in the next relationship, compared to those who have not been unfaithful in the first one.  The main reason for betrayal stems from our basic human needs not being met and the biggest influence and motivation to cheat has been concluded to that of dissatisfaction in the primary relationship, especially for males. In this podcast today, I will discuss why cheaters cheat and look further into the problems of betrayal as well as giving you some useful tips on how you can overcome this act of deceit. If you would like to take your self development to the next level then please sign up to my FREE 12 week self discovery plan here: https://victim2victor.net/free-12-week-self-discovery-plan/More information about me can be found via links here: https://linktr.ee/healing.journeyyIf you are interested in my book ‘Victim 2 Victor’, it is now available on audio: Amazon: amzn.to/37jFt2W
